The New York International Wine Auction runs flawlessly every year, but only because of the extensive—and mostly unseen—preparation done in advance. Much of that work goes into choosing the courses of the gourmet dinner and the fine wines to match with the food. Having participated in the preliminary tastings and the rehearsal dinner, it’s clear that the pairings for this year’s auction dinner are as good as any we’ve experienced in our more than 10 years of attendance. If you like delicious food, expertly paired with the finest wines, served in the midst of an organized frenzy of auction excitement, you must attend the 2013 NYIWA!
