The New York International Wine Auction runs flawlessly every year, but only because of the extensive—and mostly unseen—preparation done in advance. Much of that work goes into choosing the courses of the gourmet dinner and the fine wines to match with the food. Having participated in the preliminary tastings and the rehearsal dinner, it’s clear that the pairings for this year’s auction dinner are as good as any we’ve experienced in our more than 15 years of attendance.
